Frequently asked questions

Answers about container transport, pallet freight and Port Botany.

Container Services

The container size, delivery suburb and postcode, whether you need a sideloader, and any special requirements such as dangerous goods. A container number and release help us book faster.

On a skel (skeletal trailer) the container stays on the truck and you unload it from a dock or with a forklift while the truck waits. A sideloader places the container on the ground so you can unpack in your own time.

Port and terminal charges are passed on at cost and shown clearly on your quote and invoice.

Return the empty container to the nominated empty park before the shipping line’s free days run out. We record the empty-return date on every job and can collect the empty as soon as you are finished.

Pallet Freight

The standard Australian pallet base is 1165 × 1165 mm. Please include the height and weight when you request a quote.

Yes. Tail-lift trucks are available for pickup or delivery addresses without a forklift or dock.

Yes, to selected regional areas. Check our Service Areas page or send the destination postcode for confirmation.

Port Botany

The Vehicle Booking System (VBS) is how trucks book time slots to collect or deliver containers at the terminals. We manage VBS bookings for every job.

Storage is charged by the terminal when a container stays at the port beyond its free time. Detention is charged by the shipping line if the empty container is not returned by the agreed date.

Once the shipping line has released it and any customs or biosecurity holds are cleared, and a VBS slot is available.
