Sideloader vs Skel Delivery: Which One Do You Need?

There are two common ways to receive a container: on a skeletal trailer (skel) or by sideloader.

Skel delivery

The container stays on the truck. You unload it at a dock or with a forklift while the truck waits. It suits palletised loads and sites with a dock.

Sideloader delivery

The container is lifted onto the ground. You unpack at your own pace and we collect the empty later. It suits floor-loaded cartons and sites without a dock.

Cost considerations

A sideloader costs more per lift, but can save truck waiting time on long unpacks. Tell us how the container is packed and we will recommend the most economical option.
